In a 3-hour program, the BaSC Joint Induction and Turn-Over Ceremony with a theme of ‎‎"Inspiring Positive Change, Translating Vision into Reality" was conducted at the Basilan State ‎College Amphitheater last August 15, 2017 at around 9:00 AM.‎ The joint induction and turn-over ceremony in Basilan State College is conducted every year, ‎letting the officers oath to do their best in fulfilling their responsibilities as newly elected officers.‎ This was spearheaded by the College President Dr. ‎Nasser A. Salain, Al-Haj, in partnership with BaSC Supreme Student Council. In attendance to the ‎event was the of Provincial Governor of Basilan province, Hon. Jim Hataman Salliman, Director of ‎the Office of the Student Affairs and Services, Mr. Argue J. Sarco, and Assistant Vice President for ‎Academic Support Services, Dr. Benjier H. Arriola, together with the supportive SSC adviser, Dr. ‎Haipa Abdurahim Salain.‎ In the turn-over ceremony, the key of responsibility was passed on by the representative of the ‎previous supreme leader of the SSC, Mr. Farhan O. Lalliyo, namely Mr. Tony Tumalon to the newly ‎elected SSC President, Mr. Yasir Daimon.‎ ‎“Leaders aren’t made but they are born… once you are a leader, you will always be a leader.” ‎‎– Dr. Salain.‎
