On July 20, 2018, a film viewing for the students of Basilan State College was held at the at BaSC Gymnasium. The film, entitled "Ang Misyon: A Marawi Siege Story" was directed by Ceasar Soriano, who shared his advocacy of fighting violent extremism and terrorism to the students of BaSC. Martin Escudero and Juan Miguel Soriano, the lead actors of the film, along with Chris Leonardo a tv actor, were present on the said event.
